1.1 INTRODUCTION
International Training’s highest teaching level is the Instructor Trainer rating. The IT rating may be obtained at every level TDI offers but must be earned at each level. For SDI there is only one level of IT that can be obtained.

1.2 QUALIFICATION OF GRADUATES
Upon successful completion of this course, graduates may teach instructor level courses for the ratings they are qualified to teach at the diver level.

1.3 WHO MAY QUALIFY
This course may be taught by personnel assigned by SDI/TDI World HQ. Upon completion of the course candidates must apply for the rating through SDI/TDI World HQ.

1.4 STUDENT PRE-REQUISITES
The Student must:
1. Minimum age is twenty-one (21) years old.
2. Current Instructor rating for course in which IT status is requested.
3. Certification of one hundred (100) SDI Divers and must represent the full spectrum of SDI courses.

1.5 POLICIES FOR ALL IT’S
1. The student must be registered with SDI/TDI World Headquarters and respective SDI/TDI regional office in their country of residence.
2. The Training Review Committee are the only ones allowed to teach this program. Authorization to make IT’s must be obtained directly from SDI/TDI World Headquarters.
3. Upon completion of the IT program, IT’s may upgrade to other IT levels without attending another IT program so long as they have remained actively teaching instructor course.
4. Within TDI, all the courses require a minimum number of certifications and some require a minimum number of dives before Instructors may obtain the IT level for that course.
