Minister of tourism has given the diving industry in Egypt the ultimate official recognition by decreeing the formation of the Chamber of diving tourism and watersports, joining as such the Egyptian Tourism federation along side other chambers fore hotels, travel agencies, and tourist establishments.

This is one of the strongest national federations in the country that is effectively the Tourism sector supreme.

The new chamber which empowered by law to regulate the diving and watersports industry in Egypt, held its first board of directors meeting in Cairo on the 14^th June to elect the chairman and executive office.

We are pleased to announce that TDI/SDI Middle East’s Karim Helal was elected by as the first chairman of the board of the Chamber for Diving Tourism and watersports, who also becomes Board member of the Egyptian Tourism Federation
